These are the images from the last two days of my trip – days 5 and 6. I stayed at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon during the last days of the trip. By the way, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay in the southeast. It is rather isolated and we were able to see a bit of the northern lights from this site, although not as pronounced as in Jökulsárlón. See those photos from day 4 here.
This was my favorite area in Iceland. You can feel a great deal of solitude; and it will be paradise if you enjoy photography. I will want to go back one day in the summer to see a bit more “green” and maybe not so much “white”.
Among the places I was able to enjoy are Jökulsárlón, Skaftafell area within Vatnajökull National Park, Svínafellsjökull Glacier, and Skaftafellsjökull Glacier. Now onto the photos.
