Fall in the Sierras

Last weekend, we took off for a short weekend getaway to the Sierras.  The Sierra Nevada mountains in California are so close to us that we don’t visit as often as we should.  I wanted to see some fall colors.  They were there, but not as pronounced as I would have liked.  The yellows were there, but the reds and the oranges not so much.  Still, we enjoyed, hiked, and photographed.

All images are taken with the Fujifilm x100f, and the GFX 50r with the 50mm lens. I also tried a few images with the Nikkor Ai-s 135mm lens adapted to the GFX. The places we were able to visit include: the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, the Alabama Hills, and the Big Pine Creek trail. All photos have the classic chrome film simulation. The images below:
